QUALIFICATION:
Full-time Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technology/AMlE with not less than 65% marks, as per respective Institute/University norms (55% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates). Candidates must have appeared for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) — 2024. Candidates with the prescribed degree identified for the disciplines as given below can only apply for the post of EET in the respective discipline:
1. Electrical Engineering: Electrical/Electrical & Electronics/Electrical, Instrumentation & Control/Power Systems & High Voltage/Power Electronics/ Power Engineering
2. Mechanical Engineering: Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engg. / Production & Industrial Engg./ Thermal / Mechanical & Automation/ Power Engineering
3. Electronics Engineering: Electronics / Electronics & Telecommunication / Electronics &Power/Power Electronics / Electronics & Communication/ Electrical & Electronics

AGE CRITERIA
The Upper age limit is 27 years as on the last online application. age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/XSM candidates is applicable as per Government guidelines.

SELECTION PROCESS
Eligible candidates must have appeared for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)-2024 and must have qualified in the exam. Candidates Shall be Shortlisted for document verification based on GATE-2024 performance and organizational requirements, from amongst the candidates who apply against this advertisement in NTPC. Further, the candidates will be extended "Offer of Appointment" subject to meeting the advertised eligibility criteria. Please note that only GATE marks of 2024 will be valid for EET-2024 recruitment.
PAY SCALE
Selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale Of Rs.40,000-1 at the basic pay of Rs. 40,000/- (El Grade). The other benefits such as Dearness Allowance, other perquisites and allowances, terminal benefits, etc. will be admissible as per company rules in force from time to time during training/after absorption.
PLACEMENT
The selected candidates shall undergo one-year training at various places. The final place of posting will be decided after completion of training. Candidates can be placed, across the country, in any of the projects/ stations including Subsidiaries/JV companies of NTPC. The incumbents would be posted at projects/stations for shift operation of power plants and will be required to work in shifts (including night shift). Application for the post will be considered as the consent of the candidate to work in shifts (including night shift).
